HISTORY OF DINO'S TAXIDERMY I have always enjoyed hunting and taxidermy. Like many kids in the '60's, I wrote away for Northwest School of Taxidermy's pamphlets and read them again and again. I spent many enjoyable hours mounting specimens I'd taken. As an adult, taxidermy was a hobby I put away until 1991, when circumstances allowed me to attend Tom Matuska's Northwest School of Taxidermy in Spirit Lake, Iowa. After completing the course, I returned home to Idaho. Within a year, I built my shop and married my wife Amy. Needless to say, that first year was hectic. Since then, I have enjoyed many busy hunting seasons, although I get to hunt less and less myself. Instead, I spend October skinning! Our focus as a business is on providing top-quality trophy mounts. We use only the best quality materials ... competition-quality eyes, with whites and veining ... artificial septums in gamehead nostrils for realism ... full, thick padding and ultra-fluffy double felt borders on our rugwork ... custom-made hardwood panels and bases (no laminates or particleboard). My family has continued to grow, and now my young son Mark is my most faithful assistant. Hope to see you soon! Happy hunting and fishing! Dino, Amy, Annika, Mark & Chloe
